Word and Spirit
We believe in the authority of the Bible as the objective standard of Christian living and the immediate leading and empowering of the Holy Spirit. We seek to encourage one another to live lives that please God rather than living by the standards of the world. We also want to make room for the Holy Spirit to speak directly to us in our meetings and therefore would be described as a charismatic church. We meet together to encounter the living God, to give to Him and to receive from Him. |

Community
As a church we seek to develop a "family feel" with each member respected and valued irrespective of age, race, culture etc. We are associated with the Newfrontiers family of churches. Through Newfrontiers we are linked with churches across the globe, including those in Mexico, South Africa, India, the Middle East and Europe. Working with Newfrontiers we also play our part in seeking to reach the whole of this city under the Newfrontiers London strategy. We have good relationships with other churches in the area and are members of the Evangelical Alliance. We play an active role in "Southwark for Jesus" and "Christians 4 Transformation" (the local Bermondsey & Rotherhithe Church Fraternal). We want the church to feel like home to its members. As the church grows it should not stop being home. We want individually to keep a strong affinity with the values and vision of the church. We want everyone to find their place and be part of a circle of friends so no matter how large the church becomes it will still feel like home. |

Proclaiming Good News
We do not believe we are here for our own comfort, but along with the church world-wide, have been commissioned by Jesus to go into all the world and make disciples. The church is called to be salt and light in the world and as such we particularly want to see the Good News of Jesus brought to the inner city, both in teaching about Jesus and demonstrating His care. Success, however, is not simply measured numerically, but also in the quality of love we show to one another and to those who give nothing in return. Caring for the disadvantaged and marginalised is an end in itself, simply expressing God's heart for damaged and broken people in London. |
We have been commissioned by Jesus to go into all the world and make disciples.
